Munster X-Country...The juvenile B' Munster x-country was held in Moyglass on Sun 29th Nov. Templemore AC had a good representation on the day. In particular the boys u13 team who secured 2nd place for a great team effort. Individual athletes who performed well on the day were: laura Sheedy (2nd) girls u9; Francis Nesirky (2nd), girls u15; click for results..

X-Country...Tipperary Juvenile A' X-Country held in Thurles Sun 25th Oct. Templemore athletes Sam Devanney (boys u14) & Frances Nesirky (girls u16) came home in top position...click for full results

North Tipp Sports Partnership...are running the following courses over the coming months > Child Welfare & Protection in Sport > Thurles 6th Oct..click for details and Templemore 11th Nov...click for details. Also running on the 16th Oct is a Speed>Agility>Quickness workshop...click for details

Congratulations...to Stephen O' Riordan for competing in the Irish Schools multi events in Santry @ the weekend. Stephen progressed to the All-Ireland as the Munster schools champion.

Road Relays...Intervarsity road relays are being held in NUI Maynooth this coming Sat the 14th...more info

European Cross Country...On Sun 12th Dec Ireland will host the European cross-country in Santry, Dublin...click for link to official site or click on the image for all information required if you intend travelling to the event, course layout, timetables etc..

Club Table Quiz...Templemore AC are holding a table quiz in Murphys bar (Templemore) on the 8th Jan @ 9.30pm. All members please support this event. Many thanks

Munster Indoors...This event may be in doubt due to the predicted weather conditions over the coming days. a decision will be posted on www.munsterathletics.com this evening the 02nd before 6pm.

European Cross Country...Congratulations to all involved in the running and setting up of this years event in Dublin as it was a great success....click for results....click here for photos...below is the Portugese team that won the Senior ladies title.

AAI Indoor Games...Templemore AC had 2 athletes competing on Jan 17th. Joe Barry & Stephen o' Riordan. Joe competed in the 60m hurdles, Shot and High Jump while Stephen competed in the Triple Jump, High jump and Shot....results. Both these athletes are in action again this weekend Jan 23rd in the national indoor multi events.

Tour of Ireland 2009 stage 1...this year the event has been reduced to 3 days due to the current economic climate, however some of the biggest names in cycling have been included in the start line, namely 7 time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong & the Manx bullet Mark Cavendish. click for link to site or click for photos

Coaching...are you interested in getting involved with athletics at grass root level. Athletics Ireland are holding a coaching clinic in Cork on the 29th Aug. all participants will be awarded with an athletics leader badge. This is the first step into getting qualified as a coach. The knowledge gained from this can be used across the board for all sports. Templemore already have participants and all newcomers are welcome. Transport may be provided depending on numbers. Master Track & Field...congratulations to Martin o Brien who won Gold on the track yesterday in the over 50 mens 5k race walk at the National championships....click for photos

New members...new members welcome for the upcoming season, training resumes on the 02nd Sept.

Weights Program...During the week Templemore AC  athletes visited Kenny Mc Donald in the Garda College gym for an assessment and  ultimately a weights program for the coming months. Kenny is highly qualified and has some involvement with the Munster rugby team. The program is to suit Sprinters & Power athletes i.e. L.J, shot, discus etc.

Cork to Cobh 2009...A former Templemore athlete, Paudie Birmingham of Mallow AC kindly forwarded this photo of Mick Delahunty running the Cork to Cobh run earlier in the year. This run was in preparation for the new York Marathon which Mick completed in a great time of 03.13.

Coaching & Development...Over the last number of months we have had athletes participating in coaching courses around the country, in particular an Athletic Leader course and level 1. If you are interested in Sport from a coaching perspective there are numerous events planned over the coming months....click for details

A.G.M...The Annual General meeting of Templemore Athletic Club will take place in the function room of Murphy's Bar on Wed 31st Mar at 8.45pm. We invite all parents, athletes & coaching personnel to attend. The meeting will finish by 10.15pm.
