Workshop...Templemore AC will be hosting a Shot Putt workshop on the 21st Nov. 11am @ the track. Please allow for sign in etc. If you are an athlete or coach you are welcome to attend. Please confirm attendance with Martin Leyden @ 087 2096356.The course will be directed by a National Coach from Athletics Ireland.

Munster Novice X-Country...Niamh Hennessey put in another fine performance in Dungarvan yesterday (18th Oct) to finish 3rd overall in the womens 3km. Niamh was also part of the Tipperary Ladies team who finished in top position for the Inter County competition. click for further results

Senior Novice results....Congratulations to Niamh Hennessey on finishing 2nd overall in the county Championships held in Longford Pass Sun 4th Oct. Niamh finished the 3k course in a time of 12.28. This event was hosted by Moyne Athletic. Well done...click for full results

X-Country Results....Congratulations to Edward Hynes (2nd Individual: Boys u16) Aoife Delargy (2nd individual: Girls u14) Clodagh Kinnane (3rd Individual & 2nd team Girls u10) also our u12 boys team came home in 2nd overall in the team competition...click for full results. Well done to all...

Underage group session...on the track last Wed night the 30th Sept. Great turnout considering the County schools x country was run earlier that day in Thurles. Well done to all the athletes. For more photos....click

Combined Events...The development squad for the combined events met in Tullamore on Sat Last. There was a very good turnout on the day and another bonus was that the weather held off. Events catered for included hurdles, pole vault and shot, there was also a session which covered general conditioning. This was a very welcome event. Our next gathering is set for Mar 20th in UL...Keep posted for more information....read more

National Indoor Pentathlon...Stephen o Riordan finished 4th in the junior mens multi events, while Joe Barry also finished just outside the medals in 4th position in the senior mens competition...results.

Road Running/Endurance Workshop....Mon 21st Sept 7pm - 9.30 in U.L Sports Arena. All coaches and experienced athletes 18+ are welcome to attend. Guest speaker is Irish Olympic athlete Thomas Chamney. Cost = € 5. Registration @ 6.45.

Throw Workshop...Wed 16th Sept 7pm - 9.30 in U.L. All coaches & experienced athletes 17+ are welcome to attend. John Sheehan will discuss the javelin & Sean Whitney will look after the shot. Registration will begin @ 6.30 and the cost of the workshop is € 5. If you would like attend please contact 087 76 90 145 to arrange transport

Tour of Waterford...On Sun 30 Aug over 3400 people took part in this years Sean Kelly Tour of Waterford. This is a record attendance for any cycling event in the country to date. Some of the clubs members completed the 160km Kelly Comeragh challenge....click for photos

Top Result....Templemore athlete Frances Nesirky came home in top position this afternoon Sun 13th at an open road/fell race in Sullihull, Birmingham. By all accounts this is a  tough discipline which includes some off-road sections for the athletes to contend with. Frances turned in a very respectable time for the 5k course with a time of 22.50. Well done to Frances for taking the opportunity and realising all the effort she has been putting into training over the last number of months...photo to follow

Following on....from the initial report is a photo of Frances Nesirky being presented with the cup following her victory in the UK at the weekend in the 5k road/fell race in Sollihull, Birmingham. the cup was presented by Don Given who is the Irish U21 International Football Manager

Tipp Senior Indoors...Templemore AC finished top Senior club in the county indoors on Fri 16th Apr..results & points table

Intervarsity Track & Field...This years events was hosted by Trinity College, Dublin on the 23rd and 24th Apr, at Morton Stadium, Santry....results

Templemore AC & Tipperary were well represented at this years competition

Dara Kervick: Carrick on Suir (DCU) 3^rd: 400m final

Keith Maher: Thurles Crokes (UL) 4^th: 800m final

William Hughes: Thurles Crokes (CIT) 10^th: 1500m final

James Maher: Templemore AC (WIT) 7^th: 800m heat

Cheryl Stanley: Templemore AC (WIT) 6^th: 200m heat.

Multi Events...On Sun 06th Dec the first development squad this year for multi events was held in Tullamore. This is a great development for the event. Pole vault and hurdles were catered for on the day. The organisers are going to put on the next squad session in Nenagh, early in the new year. keep posted for dates.
